Foundation in Art for Kids is a class designed after the "foundation year" art college students typically experience their freshman year. It is a group class in which potential for creative growth is explored through exposure of a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery, bookmaking, anime, fiber arts, art games, and much more. This process allows us to teach the students the many ways different mediums can be used as a vehicle to express one's self, while at the same time help our students cultivate a comfortable understanding of multi-media. This class provides both a verbal and non-verbal vehicle to increase insight, develop strengths, learn techincal skills and integrate feelings. Group lessons focus on increasing social pragmatic skills, building interpersonal relationship skills, working as a team, developing knowledge and experience using different fine art mediums as a modality to express one’s self.

Payment and Refund Policy
Payment is expected after you register to save your space in class, unless you have made other arrangements with Emily. Payment plans can be set up if need be. Most people pay online, leave checks in studio mailbox or mail them to Shoe Town Art Center, Attn: Emily Lawrence-Boulger, 200 Merrimack Street, Haverhill, MA 01830

For this reason we cannot offer refunds if you decide to drop-out of class. We will make every effort to accommodate you if you need to switch classes due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts or other such emergencies or events. It is our goal to make you happy and teach you the joy of working with clay.
We don't prorate classes if you are going away on vacation or just going to miss a few, but we do have a very open make-up policy. Please, please feel free to make-up any class you might miss by attending another class being offered during the same session. We want you to work, have fun, and get the most out of your time at Shoe town Art Center
