FOR HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS

INTRO TO POTTERY, CERAMICS, & MULTIDIMENSIONAL ARTS: Homeschool Students

This course is open to ages 6 and up and will focus on understanding and applying the aesthetics, processes, form, and function of art in three dimensions.  Students will explore a range of multi-dimensional mediums to create projects such as ceramics (handbuilding), pottery, and sculptures. Students will get an introduction to using the pottery wheel and handbuilt ceramics, will learn skills such as color use and color theory, form design and construction, and layering of mediums in three dimensions. All projects will incorporate a reflection on students’ own interests and values as students learn to use their pieces to share their personal story.

This course runs one day a week for a total of 6 weeks.
